INEC has opened registration for ad-hoc staff ahead of the Anambra governorship election on November 8, 2025.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced online registration for ad-hoc staff who will serve during the Anambra State governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025.
According to a notice posted on its official X handle on Monday, the application window runs from September 15 to October 5, 2025, through the INECPRES portal and its Android mobile app.

Positions available include Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), Registration Area Center (RAC) Managers, and Registration Area Technical Support Staff (RATECHs).
INEC explained that applicants must reside in Anambra, Delta, Enugu, or Imo states, except for RATECHs who must be INEC ICT staff. Eligibility requirements also stipulate that applicants must not be members of any political party or have publicly declared support for any candidate.

SPOs will be selected from federal civil servants and staff of MDAs on designated grade levels, while POs and APOs will be drawn from serving or recent NYSC members, INEC staff, and students of accredited federal tertiary institutions.

RAC Managers will typically be heads of hosting schools or designated staff, while RATECH positions are strictly for ICT staff not assigned other election duties.
INEC urged all interested applicants to carefully review the guidelines before submitting their applications.
