Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has warned that he will not tolerate insults on President Bola Tinubu.
VerseNews reports that the actor said this in a recent interview session on White Pearl Studios TV.
“Only two people must not be dragged in my presence, my father and President Bola Tinubu,” he said.
Edochie also addressed the criticism he had faced over the past two years regarding his second marriage to fellow actress Judy.
He stated that he remained undaunted by criticism and chose not to delve into the negative comments that continually inundated his online space.
“People have been dragging (me) for the past two years, I no dey fear dragging, I don’t even read all those things they write about me, I have spent 18 years in Nollywood, these are young people, I am 41. Someone who is 23, 24 is trying to teach me how to live my life, someone who is not married is trying to tell me how to leave my life,” he said.
In August, the actor pulled his weight behind President Tinubu, pledging his support for the number one citizen of the country.
The movie star took to his official X account and shared a picture where he wore a Tinubu-branded attire.
“Asiwaju boy. 100%. Unapologetically. I love Tinubu. I believe in him and I’m praying for him to succeed,” he captioned the picture.
Edochie was raised both in Lagos and Enugu and is the last of the six children of legendary actor Pete Edochie.
In 2017, he ran for Governor of Anambra State and was the gubernatorial candidate for the Democratic Peoples Congress.
However, Willie Obiano, who ran for re-election won a second term.
