NewsVerse Nigeria reports that the Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, announced the shutdown of the school.
According to reports gathered by this Online Newspaper, Adeniran died during a sports event on Thursday.
The cause of her death is yet to be known as investigation into the circumstances of her death is still in progress.
The school remains closed until the investigation has been concluded.
However, the deceased’s mother has faulted the management of the school for the death of her daughter.
She argued that the school should have made provision for emergency response at the sports venue and failed to administer first aid.
Mrs. Blessing added that her daughter had no pre-existing heart condition despite the doctor’s allusion to a cardiac arrest.
Contrary to her claims, the management of Chrisland School had reported that Whitney was not health-wise fit and had on January 20 reported of having an undisclosed health challenges.

They denied having a hand in the Whitney’s death and did their very best to rescur Whitney from the
“Our immediate response was to take advantage of proximity by identifying the nearest medical facility to take her to, where the doctor on duty administered oxygen and every aid possible to her,” the school reported.
Recall that in 2022, four teachers were arraigned after a sex tape by Chrisland pupils surfaced online during an outing.
In 2019, an ex-teacher of the school’s branch in VGC bagged a 60-year jail term for defiling a two-year-old girl in 2016.
At the moment, the fate of the school is yet to be known following the recent development and crises surrounding the school.
