The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a young man, whose name has been withheld, for allegedly impersonating several Northern governors and defrauding unsuspecting Nigerians.

The suspect reportedly scammed multiple victims by posing as top government officials, though the names of the governors he impersonated have not been disclosed.
Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, confirmed the arrest in an interview with BBC Hausa, revealing the suspect’s unusual skill in deception.

“After his arrest, we found out he has many contacts of prominent Nigerians on his contact list,” Hassan said.

“The man is an expert at mimicking voices; he can change his voice to anyone else’s once they speak,” he added.
According to the police, investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of his scams and the number of victims involved. Further details are expected to be released as the probe continues.
