- A young Plateau man identified as Nengak has reportedly died after a mob confrontation in Lagos, following accusations that he was “sleeping” with his employer’s wife.

A young man from Plateau State, identified simply as Nengak, has reportedly died after being attacked by a group of people in Lagos State. The incident followed allegations that he was “sleeping” with the wife of his employer.
According to information shared by Bitrus Idi, who described himself as a close friend of the deceased, Nengak worked as a security assistant for a family in Victoria Garden City. He was said to have taken on general duties in the household, including cooking, cleaning, and taking the couple’s children to school.
Idi claimed that the husband was rarely at home due to frequent travel, and that:
“Being a handsome, strong and hardworking young guy, his master’s wife had a crush on him and began inviting him for other duties outside what he was employed to do.”
The alleged relationship reportedly continued for months. Idi said the husband became suspicious after hearing rumours, leading him to install CCTV cameras in the house.
“On the day Nengak was beaten to death, the man had pretended that he was traveling outside Lagos… As usual, the madam called Nengak to their master bedroom and it was in the process that the man and his gang bust in and caught them red handed.”

Idi further alleged that the confrontation turned violent, resulting in Nengak’s death. He added that the case has not yet been filed formally:
“Till now, the case is still to be filed as we have nobody to fight for him. Nengak’s corpse is still in the mortuary and the police have said we must pay for autopsy and other things.”
Authorities have not released an official statement on the incident, and no charges have been confirmed at this time.
