The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, 15 July, 2025, as a public holiday in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away recently in London after a prolonged illness.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by Magdalene Ajani, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. According to the statement, the holiday is part of the ongoing “seven days of national mourning” declared by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in tribute to the late statesman.
