Nigerian popular singer Damini Ogulu known by his stage name as Burna Boy has been announced as a performer for the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 4th.

VerseNews reports that the exciting news, revealed by the Recording Academy on Twitter, promises to bring a captivating dose of African rhythm and global flavor to the prestigious ceremony.

“Attention: African Giant @BurnaBoy will take the #GRAMMYs stage on Sunday, February 4th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on @CBS,” the organizers declared, amplifying the anticipation for his performance.

Burna Boy, renowned for his electrifying energy and genre-bending sound joins previously announced performers like Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo, adding a vibrant splash of diversity to the lineup.

This makes the afrobeat singer the first African artiste to perform on the big stage.
