- Businesswoman Tracy Nicolas Ohiri collapsed and was hospitalised in Abuja after her arrest over cyberbullying allegations linked to a ₦250 million debt claim against Minister David Umahi.

Tracy Nicolas Ohiri, a businesswoman who accused Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Umahi, of owing her ₦250 million, reportedly collapsed and was hospitalised in Abuja following her arrest and detention.
Ohiri was said to have collapsed while being forced into a police van after her arrest in Lagos. She was subsequently rushed to the Wuse District Hospital for medical attention.
The businesswoman had alleged that Umahi owed her for campaign materials she supplied over a decade ago. She was later arrested on allegations of cyberbullying and transported to Abuja.
The incident sparked reactions from rights groups, with activist Omoyele Sowore confronting the minister at the FCT Police Command over her detention.

On February 26, 2026, Ohiri was arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, where she was granted bail.
She also alleged that the dispute escalated after she rejected alleged personal advances from the minister, a claim that has further fueled public controversy.
However, Umahi denied any involvement in her arrest, stating that law enforcement acted based on a legal petition concerning the debt and not on his direct orders.
