The students and teachers of Apostolic Faith Groups of School in Emure-Ekiti, who were recently released from the kidnappers’ den, are currently receiving medical care at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti.
VerseNews reports that the EKSUTH Chief Medical Director mentioned that the victims, comprising five pupils and three teachers, are undergoing medical and therapeutic treatment to relieve them of the psychological trauma from the kidnapping experience.
The medical team is conducting examinations to assess their health condition and ensure their well-being.
According to reports monitored by Overtnews, they were reportedly released during the early hours of Sunday. The kidnapping occurred on Monday evening along Emure – Eporo Road as they were returning to Eporo after school hours.
A government official in Emure Ekiti, confirming the release of the abducted individuals, stated, “The abductees, along with their parents and family members, are present. I will provide further details shortly.”
Additionally, a source verified the situation, mentioning that officials from the state Ministry of Health were present to transport them to Ado Ekiti, the state capital, for medical care.
