DNA test later confirms Pastor Simeon Okehielem as the baby’s father; court remands him in custody as disturbing sexual allegations emerge.
A Benin-based pastor, Simeon Okehielem, founder of Ebube Wonders Synagogue Prayers Ministry, has been arrested and remanded in custody after a DNA test confirmed he is the biological father of a baby conceived through an alleged rape of a female church member.
The victim claims Pastor Okehielem drugged and raped her during a private spiritual session. After discovering she was pregnant, the cleric reportedly denied responsibility, prompting the woman to pursue a paternity test. The DNA result confirmed Okehielem is the father with 100% certainty.
The case, which has sparked outrage across Edo State, led to his arrest and arraignment in court. He has since been remanded pending further legal proceedings.
