President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following a week of silence about his whereabouts after the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
VerseNews learnt that there had been concerns and questions about the president’s itinerary as members of his delegation returned to Nigeria while his location remained undisclosed.
Notable members of his delegation to the US included Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; Minister of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, as well as the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, had not provided information about Tinubu’s location after his departure from New York on September 22.
Although unconfirmed reports suggested that he had traveled to Paris from New York, the president’s return to Nigeria was confirmed on Friday night.
