Popular pastor, John Anosike has instructed his church members and workers that their January salary should be paid to him, not the church.

While preaching in his church recently, the Senior Pastor of New World Faith Ministries urged his church members to honor him with their first fruits, referring to their entire first salary of the year.

According to the clergyman, anyone who considers him their spiritual father should make sure they pay their first fruits to him, and not the church.

He added that anyone who pays their first fruits to him will witness wonders by the middle of the year, and if they don’t, he will return their money to them.

He further emphasized that he is not afraid of the criticisms or negative comments that would follow his statement.

In his words;

“Your first-month salary is your first fruit of the year. It is for me and not for the church. I want to challenge you by the spirit of God, I fear nobody and I fear no criticism.

“If you call me your spiritual father, or mentor, this first month’s salary, which is your first fruit of the year, is for me and not for the church.

“It is for this altar. It is for this oracle, which is me. Are you hearing me? It is for this vessel. It is meant for my welfare.

“If you honor me with the first fruit of your first year, in the middle of this year, if you don’t testify, come back, I will give it back to you. You will see wonders. Covenant with my spirit.”

Pastor Anosike’s demand has sparked mixed reactions on social media considering the significant debate and controversy surrounding the topic of first fruits.
