The Super Eagles’ camp officially opened on Sunday in Rabat, Morocco, as Nigeria began its final preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup CAF playoffs.

Ten players have already reported for duty at the team’s base, the Rive Hotel, signaling the start of what could be a decisive week in the nation’s bid to return to football’s biggest stage.

According to team media officer Promise Efoghe, the first set of arrivals included Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, and Olakunle Olusegun.

“Later on Sunday, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, and William Troost-Ekong joined the group, bringing the number of players in camp to eight,” Efoghe said.
