- Full list of 2025 CAF awards as Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi has been crowned the 2025 African Footballer of the Year, while Nigeria celebrated big wins with Chiamaka Nnadozie and Rasheedat Ajibade clinching top honours.
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has won the CAF 2025 African Footballer of the Year award after an outstanding season for both club and country.
The 27-year-old beat Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen to the prestigious honour, solidifying his place among Africa’s elite football stars.
In other major wins, Nigeria and Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie clinched the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third consecutive time, while Rasheedat Ajibade of Nigeria was named African Women’s Player of the Year. Morocco’s Ghizlaine Chebbak finished as runner-up.
