Human Rights Activists and a dedicated freedom fighter, Senator Shehu Sani has applause the supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi known as ‘the Obidients’ for embarrassing peace in their quest for a new Nigeria.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that the Kaduna Central Lawmaker in a statement on his Twitter handler noted that what the Obidients are doing in 2023 is more peaceful compared to what the supporters of president Muhammed Buhari did in 2011.

This Online News Media reports this is coming after Professor Wole Soyinka said that the interview comments by the vice presidential candidate, Datti Ahmed-Baba is unbecoming and a threat to the judiciary.

However, the supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) have in many cases accused Obidients of violent action and waging verbal war against the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

In what seems to be a response to these allegations, Sani said one need to rescall the past in order to appreciate the present.

“NO patriot should trigger or encourage anarchy, but we shouldn’t also ‘shorten our memories’; what Peter’s supporters are doing in 2023 is more peaceful than what Buhari’s supporters did in 2011. You only need to recall the past in order to appreciate the present,” Sani wrote.
