APC National Chairman: Tinubu Meets Kano Former Governor, Ganduje, Uzodinma, Others
Tinubu and his vice president Kashim Shettima met with the former governors.
The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had listed Former governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje as one of the nominees for ministerial appointment but seems to have changed the assignment of the former governor.
VerseNews Nigeria gathered that because of Tnubu’s trust and confidence in the Ganduje, he has to change his mind and asked two governors (Governor Hope Uzodimma and the Kwara state governor) to persuade Ganduje into another assignment.
“The president also asked him (Ganduje) to nominate another person from Kano for the ministerial job. I can confirm to you that four serving governors of APC, including Imo and Kwara governors led the former governor Ganduje to a meeting with the President on Wednesday afternoon. The purpose of that meeting was for President Tinubu to brief Ganduje directly about the new assignment,” a source told our reporters.

This Online News Media also gathered that Tinubu and his vice president Kashim Shettima met with the former governors which was said to be for the purpose of building a Nigeria’s economy.
Presidential Adviser on special duties, communications and strategy, Dele Alake says the meeting also looked at how to finalize arrangement on the distribution of palliatives to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal.
The presidency had earlier proposed the distribution of grains and fertilizers to farmers also as part of measures to boost food security in the country.
