Blackout As TCN Obeys NLC, TUC Nationwide Strike Order, Shuts Down National Grid

Electricity workers, members of the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), have shut down the national grid, adhering to the Nigeria Labour Congress’s directive for an indefinite strike.

VerseNews reports that the spokesperson for the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Ndidi Mbah, exclusively confirmed this development, revealing that the withdrawal of services commenced at 11:20 am on Monday.

The blackout, affecting the Federal Capital Territory and its surroundings, follows the nationwide strike declared by the NLC and Trade Union Congress (TUC) despite a court order prohibiting such action.
