Senator Abba Moro, representing Benue South Senatorial District, emerged as the Senate Minority Leader.
VerseNews reports that he was nominated by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Senate and subsequently affirmed.
Moro, a two-term senator, took over the position from Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwon, who was removed by the Appeal Court.
The Senate had earlier zoned the Minority Leader position to the North Central, and Senator Mwadkwon, a first-timer, was initially nominated by the minority caucus.
Abba Moro, a former Minister of Interior during the Goodluck Jonathan administration, is now the new Senate Minority Leader.
