Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has expressed concerns about an alleged attempt to blackmail his government following labor protests and the incident involving the arrest of NLC President Joe Ajaero.
VerseNews reports that Governor Uzodinma denied owing state workers any outstanding salaries.
He also mentioned that Joe Ajaero has faced challenges in separating his roles as the national president of the Labor Union from his involvement in the local politics of Imo State.
However, the governor did not explicitly condemn the incident.
He made these statements at the presidential Villa after President Bola Tinubu presented flags to APC governorship candidates for Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi ahead of the November 11 elections.
