The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the start of the collation of election results in Lagos State gubernatorial election held on Saturday March 18 2023.

VerseNews Nigeria reports that this was made known by the state’s Residential Electoral Commissioner (REC), Segun Agbaje.

Agbaje said the reason for the postponement is because of the unexpected late arrival non-arrival of results from 20 Local Government Areas (LGA) of the state.

He then announced that the collation of the results from returning officers will commence by 11:am on Sunday March 19 2023.
