The government agreed to a number of demands, including the suspension of the Value Added Tax (VAT) on diesel for the ensuing six months.

The removal of the PMS subsidy will cause public transportation issues, so the government promised to expedite the installation of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses.

Additionally, it stated that it would start paying 15 million households N75,000 at a rate of N25,000 per month starting in October 2023 and continuing through December 2023.
