The Ogun State police command has arrested street hip hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable, who had earlier refused to honour the police invitation.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Wednesday, said the singer showed irrational behaviour and hurled insults at police officers carrying out their legal duty.
The police also stated that hurling insults on officers carrying out their legal duty, is criminal and punishable by the criminal laws of Nigeria.
In the viral video where Zazu hit-maker was raining insults on the officers, he claimed that an internet fraudster had brought the police to his bar to arrest staff members “for no reason.”

He was therefore given 72-hour ultimatum which elapses today, Friday March 31.
Confirming his arrest, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the singer has been arrested and currently cooling his feet at the state headquarters of the police in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Oyeyemi said he was arrested after refusing five invitations and will remain in police custody till Monday when he will be charged in court.
