BREAKING: President Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointment

President Bola Tinubu has made a fresh appointment, announcing a new Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), with the tenure beginning August 14, 2025, following the retirement of Engineer Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola.
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the new substantive Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), effective August 14, 2025.
The announcement was made in a statement on Wednesday, July 30, by Major General Abdulmalik Jibril (rtd), Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

Adeyemi takes over from Engineer Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola, who will officially retire on August 11, 2025, after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60.

According to Jibril, Adeyemi brings decades of experience to the role, having risen from the FCT Fire Service to become the Deputy Controller-General of Fire in the Human Resource Directorate at the FFS Headquarters.
The new CG is also a member and fellow of several professional bodies, including:
- Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)
- Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria
- Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria
- Chartered Institute of Treasury Management of Nigeria

Jibril, on behalf of the board, commended the outgoing CG, Olola, for his dedication, service, and contributions to the growth and modernization of the Federal Fire Service during his tenure.
