BREAKING: Shop Owners Weep As Fire Burnt Down Onitsha Main Market (Video)
Reports made available to VerseNews Nigeria detailed that a tragedic fire incident has burnt down Onitsha Main Market in Anambra, South-East Nigeria.
According to an eyewitness who spoke the this Online News Media and craved anonymity, the fire incident happened at the around 5:20am on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
She narrated that the fire started the fire stated gradually in a building in the area popularly called ‘White House’ which contain it it offices, halls and shops, before it rapidly spread to other shops in the area.

Before the arrival of shop owners in the market, goods worth millions naira has been burnt into ashes.
The fire was beyond their control as efforts to quench it was in vain. Many of the shop owners have lamented they just stocked their shops with goods worth millions of naira for the new week.
The cause of the fire is not clear at the moment of this report.
The Anambra government is yet to comment on the incident and the state’s Chief Fire Service Officer, Mr Martin Agbili is unreachable at the moment of this report.
