BREAKING: Simon Ekpa Has Been Arrested By Finnish Police
The self-acclaimed disciple of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and a resident of Finland Simon Ekpa have been arrested by the Finnish Police.
The self-acclaimed disciple of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and a resident of Finland Simon Ekpa have been arrested by the Finnish Police.
In a picture circulating online and sighted by VerseNews, Ekpa was escorted out his apartment by Finnish Policemen without uniform.
Confirming the arrest, a Criminal Inspector, Tommi Reen from the Central Criminal Police confirms that he was arrested on Thursday.
This Online News Media earlier reported that the Finnish Government had on February 15 issued a restraining order to Ekpa to call off the sit-at-home order in the South-East with 48 hours or be arrested and charged for terrorism.

Nigeria has asked Finland to intervene in Ekpa’s activities.
A source reporting this VerseNews said that last week, the Nigerian foreign minister invited the Finnish ambassador Leena Pylvanainen to a meeting because of the case.
“I contacted the Finnish Embassy last week and they told me the Finnish Government and Nigerian Government are working on his case. I reached out the the embassy again to confirm,” the source said.
