SuperSport channels on DSTV and GOtv will now air all 52 matches of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Cote d’Ivoire live beginning from Saturday, 13 January, 2024.
VerseNews had earlier reported that the mother company, MultiChoice last week said SuperSport channel on DSTV would not be able to broadcast the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament live.
The company had, in a statement, said it would not be able to broadcast the tournament live because it did not secure the rights to broadcast it.
“However, AFCON 2023 games will be available through our partner broadcast stations on Free to Air (FTA) channels,” MultiChoice had said.
But PM NEWS authoritatively gathered on Wednesday that SuperSport channels will now air all AFCON matches live.
Sources said the rights are non-exclusive and will therefore be available on most bouquets on DSTV and GOtv.
