BREAKING: Tinubu’s Govt Relocates FAAN Headquarters From Abuja To Lagos
The Authority’s headquarters was once located in Lagos.
The federal government has relocated the headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to the Nigeria’s largest commercial city, Lagos.
VerseNews reports that this was disclosed in a memo date 15th of January, 2024 and signed by the Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku.
”The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development has directed that the Headquarters of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) should be relocated from Abuja to Lagos.
”Consequent upon the above, you are requested to provide the implication of the relocation to the management,” the memo reads.

The Authority is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of all Federal Airports.
The Authority’s headquarters was once located in Lagos. However, in 2020, the then President Muhammad Buhari moved it to Abuja.
