Chairman of BUA Cement, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced plans to reduce the price of cement in Nigeria.
VerseNews reports that the Chairman made the announcement on Friday after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.
Rabiu revealed that his company is adding two new plants to be commissioned by President Tinubu at the end of the year.
These additions will increase BUA Cement’s total capacity to 17 million metric tons, allowing them to lower the price of cement to approximately 3500 naira per bag.
According to him, this move is intended to support the government’s efforts to reduce the prices of essential commodities.
