CP Dantawaye Miller Assumes Duty as 34th FCT Police Commissioner, Makes Fresh Security Pledges

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the assumption of duty by Commissioner of Police Dantawaye Miller, psc, as the 34th Commissioner of Police for the FCT Command.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, CP Miller officially took over from his predecessor, CP Ajao S. Adewale, who has been redeployed for another strategic assignment by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun.

Born on October 15, 1971, in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, CP Miller is a seasoned law enforcement officer with over two decades of distinguished service. He holds degrees from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and the University of Ilorin, and joined the Nigeria Police Force after completing Cadet ASP Course 20 in 2001.

Over the years, he has served in various commands across Bayelsa, Adamawa, Oyo, Yobe, Edo, and Kogi, as well as at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, where he held strategic positions including Escort Commander to the President, Assistant Commissioner (CID), and Commissioner of Police, IT Department.
Renowned for his expertise in counter-terrorism, leadership, and VVIP protection, CP Miller pledged to build upon the existing security architecture in the FCT while deepening collaboration with community stakeholders.
He assured residents of his commitment to proactive policing, intelligence-driven operations, and strong community engagement to maintain peace and security across Abuja.

The Command also urged FCT residents to cooperate with security agencies and report suspicious activities to help strengthen public safety.
