Nigerian superstar singer, David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, has publicly declared his intentions to retire from the music industry after his upcoming album.

Recently, Davido has been the center of controversies, including a viral video where he was allegedly pleading with an American model, and an online feud with fellow artist Wizkid.

Additionally, an altered image that misrepresented him in hot pants spread across the internet, forcing him to correct the misinformation publicly.

The artist expressed that the persistent negativity and competitive pressures within the music scene have impacted his mental health.

In his statement, Davido revealed the intense animosity he faces in the industry, with many seeming to push for his early exit from music.

His decision to retire aims to bring peace both to himself and potentially to the music scene, suggesting that his departure might ease the tensions.
