Denmark has announced visas for a new list of professional skilled workers as part of its move to deal with a labour shortage in different sectors of the country.

To help the country with the growing labour shortage, the Danish government announced entry for welders, bricklayers, mechanics, teachers and other professional workers.

In an attempt to help the country with the ongoing labour shortage, the Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) revealed that 72 people who are highly educated and 38 persons who are highly skilled to fill different positions would be needed within the country.

Aside from the skilled workers, the Danish government outlined other areas where workers would be needed, including scientists, engineers, medical doctors, nurses, educationists, economists, IT experts, architects, pharmacists, accountants.

Insurance agents, sales consultants, sales and account managers, customs officers, real estate agents, property managers, and medical secretaries are also listed.

Denmark also needs to fill other positions such as landscape gardener, precision mechanic, electrician, and cabinetmaker.

The country had been loosening its immigration rules to attract talent and lowered the minimum salary requirement by expanding the work permit fast-track scheme.
