Dollar Video: Anti-Corruption Agency Invites Kano Former Governor, Ganduje Over $5m Bribery Deal
The former governor was reported to have received $230,000 as part of a $5 million bribery deal agreed with contractors.
Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Kano State Governor who just ended his administration has been invited by the State’s Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) for questioning.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that the invitation is in respect to the claims that Ganduje received kickbacks from contractors in US dollars as seen in a viral video that was published by an online newspaper a few years ago.
The video clips which was released on October 2018 reportedly recorded by spy camera were published by an online medium, showing Ganduje allegedly receiving wads of dollar notes from a contractor.

The former governor was reported to have received $230,000 as part of a $5 million bribery deal agreed with contractors working for the state government.
The videos eventually earned the former Kano Governor the epithet ‘Gandollar’ by social media users
However, Our Journalists reports that his recent invitation by the anti-corruption agency of the state is due to the revisit of the case.
It has been reported earlier that forensic experts claimed the video is genuine and authentic without any form of being doctored or use of voice-over.
