EPL: Arsenal On Bright Start As Taiwo Awoniyi Scores For Forest
Arsenal have already secured their first silverware last Sunday after winning the FA Community Shield from Manchester City are in for another season of surprise.
Arsenal Football Club have kick off the 2023/24 season of the English Premier League (EPL) on a bright note after securing a vital 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Eddie Nketiah opened the scoreline for Arsenal in the 26th minute after assist from Gabriel Martinelli to put his team in the lead.

The Gunners doubled the lead six minutes later courtesy Bukayo Saka’s left footed shot from outside the box to the top left corner after an assist from William Saliba made it 2-0.
Both teams returned to the pitch after half time with Arsenal still leading with their two goal advantage.
Forest needed to reduce the tally being their first game of the season and it was Nigeria’s Taiwo Awoniyi that responded to the call in the 82nd minute.
Awoniyi who had a wonderful time last season continued with his improved performance as he entered the score shit after a right footed strike sending the ball straight on to the bottom left corner of the net from the six yard box with an assist from former Manchester United player, Anthony Elanga to make it 2-1.
Arsenal are currently second on log sharing three points each with Manchester City who defeated Burley last night 3-0 at Turf Moor courtesy Erling Haaland’s brace and Rodri’s strike.
