An audit panel in the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been set up to investigate financial dealings under the former national chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
The panel was set up by the National Executive Committee (NEC) on Thursday during the unveiling of the newly appointed chairman of the party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano state.

VerseNews Nigeria earlier reported that Umar Ganduje was appointed as chairman of the party while senator Ajibola Basiru emerged as the national secretary of the party.
The investigation of Adamu became necessary in view of allegations of financial recklessness while as chairman of the party.
