The newly appointed national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said that the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is welcome to the ruling party if he wishes to decamp.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that Ganduje made this in an interview with journalists in Kano state.
Recall that Kwankwaso who was a former governor of Kano state paid a visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Paris.
Although, it wasn’t disclosed the purpose of the visit but Ganduje who took over from Kwankwaso in the interview said it would be easier for the latter to join the party if he is looking for a political appointment.
“Nobody will say Kwankwaso is not a good politician, as he was a two-term governor in Kano State, despite disruptions, a former minister of defence, even though he had no idea what defence is, and he was once a senator, even though he never contributed anything throughout his stay in the Senate,” Ganduje said.
