Happie Boys To Be Deported Within 30 Days, Reason For Arrest Unveiled

Former security guards known as Happie Boys who are currently at a prison in Cyprus are allegedly set to be released and deported within the next 30 days.

VerseNews had earlier reported that the duo, Kelechi and Johnson were arrested some weeks ago over allegations of involvement in fraud.

In a recent update, a friend who had previously provided accommodation for the duo upon their arrival in Cyprus disclosed that their future in the country has been determined, and they are set to be deported back to Nigeria.

In a leaked conversation, the said friend disclosed that the duo had been apprehended due to their lack of student permits, which stemmed from their failure to pay their school fees.

He added that all efforts to get help for the Happie Boys failed due to their history of calling out people on social media.

An excerpt from the chat reads; “Happie boys haven’t been released yet my bro.. before they can be released all the fees dey owe must be paid so they can make their student permits and get freedom.

“Aside that bro after about 30 days they’ll be deported back to Nigeria from inside the prison. They caught them mainly because they do not have students permit off which is a result of not paying school fees.”
