The Chairman, Council of Elders, Ohanaeze Nidigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has insisted that the South-East extraction of Nigeria recognized as the “Igbos” have make so much contribution in Nigeria’s development and progress.
VersNews Nigeria reports that there has been ethnic war between the Yorubas and Igbos in the Lagos which escalated during the gubernatorial and state of assembly elections.
There were records of thugs attack in areas predominantly occupied by Igbos and calls by Lagosians demanding that the Igbos should vacate their region.

He said; “We are in Nigeria and we have invested in Nigeria. Our investments are so much. We are not going to take the pressure of people telling us to go. We are not going anywhere.
“I want to tell those in Lagos to realise that there is no war between us (Igbo) and Yoruba. They are just political rascals, and we’re going to handle them.”
He added that Igbo elders had directed the secretary general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo to set up a commission of inquiry to find out property lost, saying “people are going to pay.”
