The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has described the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi as someone noted for courageous acts or nobility of character.
VerseNews Nigeria reports that Wike while addressing traders of the South-East in Port Harcourt, Rivers State said Wike is the reason why power was removed from the North in the just concluded presidential election.
He admitted that Obi’s efforts in contesting for the presidential seat has won him massive votes in some states where the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) could have naturally dorminate.
This Online News Media understands that Wike had earlier opposed the emergency of Nigeria’s next president form North which caused the a division among the party members after Alhaji Atiku Abubakar secures the party’s presidential ticket.
Wike and five other aggrieved governors know was G-5 unit themselves and fought against the retention of power in the Northern part of the country.

The governor who was also accused of rigging election in his state against Obi affirms that reason Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was declared President-Elect.
“In this election that we just did, Obi is my hero, as far as I’m concerned. If he didn’t contest, power would have remained in the North,” he said
The governor, therefore, appealed to the traders to ignore negative comments by detractors and cast their votes for the PDP in the forthcoming governorship and state assembly elections in the state.
