Hon. Alhaji Nasir Yahaya of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been announced winner of the House of Assembly election for Daura constituency in Katsina state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
VerseNews Nigeria reports that the INEC Returning Officer, Dr Emmanuel made the announcement on Sunday in Daura.
According to Emmanuel, Nasir polled a total of 24,913 votes to defeat Aliyu Mage of the Peopes Democratic Party (PDP) who got a total of 12,240 votes.

He said; “Having polled the highest number of votes, I hereby declare Nasir Yahaya as the winner of the election in Daura constituency for Katsina State House of Assembly.”
