Israel Adesanya Pleads Guilty To Drunk-Driving, Faces 3-Months Imprisonment

Nigerian-New Zealand professional mixed martial artist Israel Adesanya has pleaded guilty to drunk-driving charges and is likely to face a three-month imprisonment sentence.
VerseNews gathered that he was found with 87 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood, exceeding the legal limit of 50 milligrams in New Zealand.
Adesanya expressed remorse for his actions and apologized to the community, his family, and his team.
However, this isn’t his first legal issue, as in 2022, he faced an episode of in-flight illegal item carriage at JFK Airport in Queens, New York, where he was briefly detained for having brass knuckles in his luggage, although the weapons charge was later dropped.
