- In an emotional outburst on Instagram, Nollywood star Regina Daniels opened up about her deep sadness and heartbreak, saying she’s reached her lowest point amid her troubled marriage with billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has stirred public concern after making a deeply emotional post on Instagram, where she expressed her overwhelming sadness and heartbreak.
The actress, who has been in the news following her marital crisis with her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko, admitted she’s struggling to hold herself together — describing how life feels painfully ironic as she now sits in the same position she once tried to lift others from.
“Life is actually funny. It’s very funny I’m sad or heartbroken. I’m now seated at the very chair I tried to raise people up from. I hate sad people. I always believe it’s better to die than to be sad and death is not an option but it’s very easy, trust me,” she wrote.
Regina, the daughter of veteran actress Rita Daniels, confessed that sadness has been spiritually and physically draining, saying she has always been an advocate for finding happiness even in the tiniest things.
“I’m an advocate for happiness in the tiniest things such as food lol. Sadness is spiritually and physically draining. Life equals living. Just live,” she added.

The actress went on to share how she motivates herself through tears:
“Funny part? I’m my biggest motivation. I cry, look myself in the mirror and then wipe them! When I reason responsibilities and demons to deaf, I’m not mad to shut the f*ck up!”
Her emotional confession comes just hours after she responded to her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko’s public statement accusing her of drug abuse and violence.
In her lengthy post, Regina turned the tables, accusing Nwoko of manipulation and emotional abuse. She claimed he was the one who introduced her to drugs, saying he always preferred her “high” because it made her “sexier, wild, and romantic.”
“You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m ‘sexier’ when I’m high. You liked me that way because it made me wild and romantic, exactly how you wanted me to be,” she wrote.
Regina also accused him of locking her up, seizing her phones, and declaring her mentally unstable whenever she tried to leave the relationship.
“Why don’t you tell them how you force yourself on me whenever I say no? Why don’t you tell them how you lock me up, seize my phones, and suddenly declare me ‘mentally unstable’ the moment I say I no longer want to be in the relationship?” she wrote.
The actress further stated that she had never been legally married to Nwoko, claiming no court documents were ever signed.

“I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law. Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you,” she concluded.
As her emotional posts continue to generate reactions online, fans and colleagues have expressed concern for her mental health, urging her to stay strong and seek help during this difficult time.
