The meeting between the Labour Party chieftain and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart comes amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Obi, who came third in the 2023 presidential election won by APC’s Bola Tinubu, had a strong showing with 6,101,533 votes, securing victory in 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Meanwhile, opposition figures, including Atiku Abubakar and Nasir El-Rufai, have been seen strategizing for 2027, sparking speculation about a possible coalition to challenge the APC.
