Labour Party (LP), Hon. Ginger Onwusibe has been declared winner of the House of Representatives member-elect for Isialangwa North and South Federal Consistence in Abia State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

VerseNews Nigeria reports that Onwusibe emerged winner after defeating Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s preferred candidate and his immediate past Chief of Staff, Professor Anthony Agbazuere.

According to election result, Onwusibe polled a total vote of 20,411 while Agbazuere of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 13,508.
Following the declaration, LP has finally won its first seat at the National Assembly.
