Mamman has explained why Niger govt renames Minna Airport after president Tinubu
The Minna International Airport has been officially renamed as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport by the Niger State Government.
VerseNews reports that the airport will be inaugurated by President Tinubu tomorrow, Monday, March 11, 2024.
The State Commissioner of Information and Strategy Hajiya, Binta Mamman announced this while addressing newsmen on the level of preparedness to receive President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on a one day official visit to the state on Monday.
Mamman explained that the gesture was in recognition of President Bola Tinubu immense contributions and sacrifices to the development of Nigeria and Africa.
According to her, the Airport named and gazetted after Abubakar Imam Kagara by the National Assembly will undergo some modifications and amendments to be re-gazetted towards achieving the set target.
Mamman, however recalled that the Niger State Polytechnic Zungeru has since been named after Dr Abubakar Imam Kagara in recognition of his contributions to the society.
