In Adamawa, the election has been declared inconclusive due to the margin of votes between the APC and PDP candidates.

The abduction of an INEC official seems to have stalled the announcement of the final result of the governorship election in the state.

Bashir Shagari, the INEC in charge of Maradun Local Government Area in Zamfara State, was on his way to the commission’s collation centre in Gusau to deliver the results of the governorship election for Maradun Local Government when he was abducted.

AS IT STANDS: Winners have been declared in 21 out of the 28 states that went to the polls on Saturday, March 18, 2023, to elect governors.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not declared winners in Abia, Enugu, Kebbi, Adamawa, Taraba, Zamfara and Rivers states.

Winners have not been announced in Abia and Enugu states because INEC suspended the collation of results in some local government areas in Abia and Enugu states.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the March 18 governorship election in the state.

Sanwo-Olu secured a total of 762,134 votes to beat Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul-Azeez Adediran better known as Jandor.

Gbadebo and Jandor scored a total of 312,329 votes and 62, 449 votes to come second and third respectively.
