NYSC Online Guidelines For Correction of Date Of Birth, Wrong Course

VerseNews Nigeria reports that management of the National Youth Service Corps has announced that information from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) will now be used to effect changes on the NYSC portal as from the 2017 Batch ‘A’ online Registration.

Guidelines for Correction of Date of Birth

According to NYSC, the new procedures to correct date of birth are as follows:

• Login to your dashboard and click on the link to Date of Birth
• Enter WAEC Verification PIN, select WAEC Type, Year of exam and enter your Examination Number
• Click on Verify button
• Click SUBMIT or CANCEL

Guidelines for Correction of Course of Study

Follow the guidelines below for correction of course of study in the NYSC portal

• Login to your dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;
• Select Course of Study; and
• Click SUBMIT

Can I change correct my Date of Birth after service?

According to the statement released and signed by the management of NYSC, Corps Members will not allowed to correct their Date of Birth on Certificate of National Service (CNS) after their one year service.

“There shall be no correction of Date of Birth on Certificate of National Service (CNS) after completion of National Service. Accordingly, you are strongly advised to utilize the link provided on your dashboard for Date of Birth correction during your online registration”

“Also, note that NYSC will not entertain any request for Date of Birth correction once you have been deployed and commenced your service year,” the statement reads.
