Panic broke out in Lokoja on Thursday, 27th November 2025, after viral videos surfaced online showing students desperately running for safety during what many are alleging to be a bandit attack on a campus in the state capital.

In the first video, dozens of students are seen sprinting across the school environment, shouting and scrambling in different directions as confusion spreads. Many abandoned their bags and personal items while attempting to escape the unfolding chaos.

Another clip shows several unidentified men dressed in black, appearing to hold weapons, running toward the direction from which the students were fleeing. The presence of the armed figures has intensified fear and fueled speculation across social media platforms.

As of the time of this report, authorities have not issued any official statement to confirm or debunk the incident, leaving many questions unanswered. It also remains unclear which specific school or campus was involved. Social media users have been calling on security agencies and the Kogi State Government to urgently investigate the videos and reassure residents.
