The Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has mourned the unexpected death of the party’s governorship aspirant, Humphrey Anumadu and the Former Chief of Staff, Lt- General Donaldson Oladipo Oyeyinka Diya (Rtd).
VerseNews Nigeria reports that the former Anambra State Governor on the death of Diya wrote;
“My family and I convey our most profound condolences to the Diya family on the death of their patriarch, Lt- General Donaldson Oladipo Oyeyinka Diya (Rtd) GCON. His service to the people and the nation, in different capacities, will always be remembered.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Diya Family as we pray to God Almighty to grant the family the fortitude to bear this colossal loss and grant peaceful repose to his soul.”

Also, in a condolence the family of Anumadu, he who he acknowledge as a friend and political colleague, he wrote;
“Today, I paid a condolence visit to the family of a dear friend, and political colleague, Mr Humphrey Anumudu, whom I was deeply saddened by the news of his sudden death. Mr Anumudu is one of the strongest supporters of the Labour Party in Imo state, and an aspirant in the forthcoming Imo State governorship election. He was a very warm, and forthright person. His death is a huge loss to his immediate and extended family, the Labour Party, the good people of Imo State, and to Nigeria.”
“May God Almighty, who called him home at this time grant him eternal rest in His kingdom, and grant his family the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss. My sincere condolence to his family, and may God Almighty bless his family always.”
