Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has officially opened the Oyingbo Overpass Bridge, a key ancillary infrastructure of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Red Line.
VerseNews reports that the Oyingbo Bridge is a remarkable T-shaped structure, stretching 717 meters in length. It connects key areas of Lagos, enhancing accessibility and safety.
This bridge links Murtala Muhammed Way to Apapa Road, offering access to Costain, Iganmu Industrial Area, Lagos Badagry Expressway, Herbert Macaulay Way, Third Mainland Bridge, Otto, Carter Bridge, and Ijora.
This infrastructure also enhances safety by eliminating pedestrian and vehicular interference on the rail tracks, reducing the risk of accidents.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the Oyingbo Flyover would provide alternative routes to access Lagos Island, especially during the Third Mainland Bridge maintenance work.
This initiative is part of Lagos State’s efforts to improve its transportation system and infrastructure.
