- Controversial singer Portable has blasted nightlife entrepreneur Cubana ChiefPriest, accusing him of hypocrisy for suggesting President Tinubu may lose Igbo support if Nnamdi Kanu is not released.
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has sparked fresh online drama after he criticized nightlife promoter Cubana ChiefPriest for his recent remarks regarding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the political mood in the South-East.
Cubana ChiefPriest had publicly stated that President Tinubu might struggle to secure even 10,000 votes in the region if the Federal Government fails to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). He argued that many Igbo people feel politically marginalized and that Tinubu risks further alienation unless the issue is addressed.
However, in a viral video response, Portable accused ChiefPriest of double standards. He claimed that during ChiefPriest’s own visit to President Tinubu, he did not advocate for Kanu’s release but rather focused on personal gain.

According to Portable, the visit “had nothing to do with activism or political causes” but was instead motivated by business and political opportunities.

Challenging him, Portable said: “When you visited President Tinubu, did you tell him to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu? You only went there to hustle for contracts and secure your own interests.”
